Kids are kids, if you cant enjoy some sugar as a child, when can you? As long as she is getting an otherwise healthy balanced diet, theres absolutely nothing wrong with a little sugar or the occasional sweet. My kids eat healthy diets with lots of vegetables and nutrients and proteins, and sometimes they will get something a little sweet, like a glass of kool aid in the summer, a little brown sugar in their oatmeal,every once in a while Ill sprinkle a pinch of sugar on some strawberries as a special treat, even for my toddler, and its not hurting them at all. From what Ive seen, the kids who are denied sugar as little kids usually end up sugar crazy when they are allowed to have it because their bodies arent used to it and its seen as a forbidden treat so they go overboard and try to get as much as possible while they can. As long as they arent eating it all the time and its not in everything and they are getting exercise it wont cause weight problems or any other health problems.

Why Do I Keep Gaining Weight In Spite Of Low Calorie Intake And Daily Exercise?

I typically get 30-60 minutes of exercise a day every day. I admit I’m not really on a diet, as I still occasionally eat things like, pizza, cheese steaks, hoagies, burgers, fried chicken and enjoy the occasional slab of chocolate cake from time to time. But I eat things like this in moderation, meaning if I’m going to have these things I eat little else throughout the day and double up on the exercise afterwards. In the beginning, I cut down on and even eliminated these foods and was able to lose 50 pounds, but when I started eating them again in moderation I stopped losing weight and was merely maintaining and recently I unfortunately started to put some weight back on in spite of the exercise. Shouldn't the exercise be canceling out whatever I eat anyway? Might the weight gain be the result of some other problem like a thyroid issue? You might get the impression that I eat these foods every day, but it’s really the opposite once or twice a week I’ll have them and the rest of the week I eat things like pasta and salad, alot of fruit and drink plenty of water. I’ve also completely eliminated soda and now drink only sweetened iced tea and water.

I know that sweetened alcohol makes me sick. Dry, clear liquor does not. For example, the other night I had some malibu peach rum, and also disorono mixed with coke. Can i lose weight with this workouts?

hard to believe at 132 that you need to lose much weight, but anyways it's your choice. And anything that gets your heart pumping faster, anything that makes you move and sweat will help you lose weight. Honestly you wont be able to get up at 5am to jog for an hour, then 45 minute sprint, then elipticle for 45min, jump rope for 30min , and punching bag 30 min, thats like a professional athletes cardio lol(not really but wtv) unless you have VERY VERY good cardiovascular indurance you wont be able to, i'd say youd be alright with 1hr in total, since your still young and you dont wanna use up all ur time on that.. have a good summer, and remember to have fun!

Oh that sounds painful! It could be a fracture or a stress fracture. It could also be just a bad bruise or a ligament injury. You should go to the doctor if your pain continues for more than 2 days. What are some exercises/workouts I can do to get faster sprinting speed?

I have college baseball tryouts in about 2 months and I want to get my speed faster. Right now I am working out legs one day a week and running 4 to 5 days a week about 2-3 miles a day. I started doing 10,20,40 yard sprints once a week. If any one can tell me some more tricks, tips, exercises too do would be great. Specifically my speed is good but when I start at the beginning it takes me a little to long to get to my full speed.

Do I worry too much about inconveniencing women?

I'd say its misplaced consideration. Women want a male that has not only respect for them but also has a sexual interest in them, I know it sounds odd to some guys but its true. Women are looking for that guy that make them feel "wanted" so Im sure the guy who was making small talk just either came off as cheesy or the girl didn't find him attractive at all to begin with which is common and ok. You may see women as a victim and you might be inadvertently looking for a women whom you can rescue. The problem with that is women dont really need or want rescuing when it comes to courtship. They want to be pursued. They want that HUNTER type male who appears strong enough to get what he needs, a good provider. But keep in mind that even while pursuing a woman, you must remain respectful or else, she's gone. Which brings up another point and actually a very common theme in men. You probably dont respect women entirely if you hold a view of them as a victim. Work on seeing them as equal counterparts. When the true respect starts to show then so will that social energy you need to land a hottie, imo. And dont worry about the blokes who can gab with any female at anytime. Some are really good at it and others just dont care about the girl and are lying to them. It is like throwing a frisbee, you gotta get the concept down, then practice so you can get good at finding a girlfriend. Hope this helps.

no it sounds good. youll probably gain lots of muscle from ur work-out,but it might be good to cut out the cardio workout and the jogging or the sprinting. cut out only 2 of those things, but do NOT cut out the jump rope. jump rope is great for getting in shape. and ur meal plan is perfect. just be careful to not over-work urself.

I don't think you would feel comfortable running along the abandoned road, there is a reason your parents drilled the 'stranger danger' stuff into you and if you twisted an ankle or something and couldn't walk you might be hard to find. Your dog might be able to keep up with you but consider they have to train to be in condition too. It might be best not to put the dog through that, especially in the summer heat. A miniature poodle can't really protect you. I suggest you run along the highway (facing the traffic) and believe me, when people see a runner, they admire that they go out and run and get exercise, not what you could possibly look like. just carry one of those small travel honey containers in your bag and at a coffee shop just get the spoon and put some in. It would be really bad service anyway if they laughed at you. How to cook healthy oatmeal?

I eat oatmeal nearly every morning for breakfast. I use either Quaker old-fashioned or quick oats. I follow the recipe on the container but then add lots of walnuts, ground flax seed a little milk and then sweeten it with a small amount of real 100% maple syrup. Sometimes, instead of the maple syrup, I saute an apple in a small amount of canola oil and then add a bit of brown sugar and cinnamon before adding it to the cooked oatmeal. Like another poster said I like to cool it down with milk but I usually use unsweetened almond or soy milk. Adding the milk also makes it less thick.

Why did the oil separate from almond butter in food processor?

I have made nut butters before, but they always turn out too liquid-y from adding oil. This time I tried to skip the oil, and added honey since it is thicker and also sweetens the almond butter. Instead the almond oil slowly fell from the nuts and would not mix back into the nut butter. I have never been doing so, until 2 weeks back when he fell sick with diarrhea (owing to the anti biotic he has been taking for fever) and vomitting...(owing to a bad cough)...I have since been giving him arrowroot porridge so as to alleviate the diarrhea...I have been adding small quantities of sugar since the porridge is absolutely tasteless.... prior to tht I have been sweetening his food using fruits like banan/apple... but currently not doing so since he completely throws up when I offer those fruits... I've had this problem many times. I rest a few days and do a lot of stretching, particularly stretching the opposite side of the injury. For shins the opposite side would be the calf area. Stretch a lot and begin running again. If it still hurts rest and stretch and repeat cycle until the problem is gone. Anti Inflammatory meds will help too.

Help! Touching things is like nails-on-chalkboard?

I have had episodes of this since I can remember. I will simply reach out to touch something and it feels painful in a nails-on-chalkboard kind of way. I literally pull my hand away and cringe. The pain in your chest was probably from the stress you felt from adrenaline...I wouldn't worry too much. I know how terrifying those dreams can be, and you might even feel that way for a few days after because they are so powerful, but like I said, just try not to worry about it. Go about your life as normal, and try to keep your mind off of it. If it makes you feel better, just approach things a little more carefully than normal...drive carefully, don't go out alone late at night, etc.

I'm a veterinary technician and being so, part of my job is to recommend certain services and products. We have to recommend Science Diet food to clients. If a pet is overweight, put them on science diet w/d, if the pet has allergies, recommend science diet z/d, etc... its the only brand we, and most animal hospitals sell. The problem is I don't feel comfortable recommending it. I think the food is absolute crap. I personally feed my pets blue buffalo, and I wish I could recommend it to clients. Sharp Heel pain help!!!!!!!?

I have had this mysterious sharp heel pain for a number if years now, but it only happens after sprinting and then I come to a complete stop, soon after the pain comes. Can't breathe when jogging for short time?

I'm not overweight, but even when I try jogging for a very very short amount of time I get out of breathe. I tried doing track earlier in the year but quit after a few days because it was embarrassing to always be in the back during practice. I can jog for a short time but if I keep pushing myself I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack or pass out. Also, when I was doing track I wanted to do something short like the 100 yard dash because I've always been a fast short distance runner.
