No sugar for toddlers ....please advise ?
Kids are kids, if you cant enjoy some sugar as a child, when can you? As long as she is getting an otherwise healthy balanced diet, theres absolutely nothing wrong with a little sugar or the occasional sweet. My kids eat healthy diets with lots of vegetables and nutrients and proteins, and sometimes they will get something a little sweet, like a glass of kool aid in the summer, a little brown sugar in their oatmeal, every once in a while Ill sprinkle a pinch of sugar on some strawberries as a special treat, even for my toddler, and its not hurting them at all. From what Ive seen, the kids who are denied sugar as little kids usually end up sugar crazy when they are allowed to have it because their bodies arent used to it and its seen as a forbidden treat so they go overboard and try to get as much as possible while they can. As long as they arent eating it all the time and its not in everything and they are getting exercise it wont cause weight problems or any other health problems.
