Would coconut be good sprinkled on brownies?

i am making some brownies at the moment for my mom because its mothers day i need a answer asap please , i was thinking of sprinkling sweetened shredded coconut on my brownies when there is about 10 minutes left in the cooking process so they stick on the brownies , do you think it would taste good ? , because my mom loves coconut =]
